CISO Ascent Announces Spring 2027 Executive Retreat in Zion National Park
Three to five days in Utah's red rock country for a small group of Chief Information Security Officers.
CISO Ascent, the CxO Ascent community for Chief Information Security Officers, will hold its Spring 2027 retreat May 1–5, 2027, near Zion National Park. The group will base in St. George, Utah, and spend three to five days in the red rock country of southwestern Utah, depending on how long each person stays.
A retreat built around the trail
Like every CISO Ascent retreat, Spring 2027 is small, peer-led, and free of the usual conference format. There are no panels, booths, or badges. The days are built around time outside and honest conversation with peers who understand the job.
Hikes and activities are generally rated easy to moderate and suit most fitness levels. The full itinerary will be posted on the CISO Ascent Spring 2027 retreat page as plans are finalized.
Why Zion National Park
Zion was Utah's first national park, known for its sandstone cliffs, narrow slot canyons, and the Virgin River that runs through the main canyon. Spring is one of the best times to visit, with mild days suited to long walks.
St. George sits about an hour's drive from the park's south entrance, which gives the group a comfortable base with easy access to the canyon.
Building on the 2026 season
Spring 2027 follows a full year on the trail for CISO Ascent: a May 2026 retreat in the shadow of Pikes Peak near Colorado Springs, Colorado, and a September 2026 retreat at the gates of Yellowstone near Bozeman, Montana. See every past and upcoming retreat on the CxO Ascent retreat calendar.
Who should attend
The retreat is designed for Chief Information Security Officers and senior security executives. Attendance is by invitation, and groups stay small so trust has room to form. Members are also welcome to nominate a peer.
How to request an invitation
CISOs interested in joining can request a seat on the Spring 2027 retreat page. For press or partnership inquiries, reach the CxO Ascent team through our contact page. CIO Ascent will also gather in Zion a week later; read the CIO Ascent announcement.
